The Management Board of the “Tamchy” Special Financial Investment Territory is headed by Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. The Board is the territory’s highest governing body and sets out the main directions for its development.
Tileq Alimdzhanov, who previously held senior positions in the banking and financial sectors, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the financial regulator. The body he heads will carry out independent supervision of residents’ activities, including licensing, in accordance with internationally recognised standards.
Egils Dzereļis, who has international management experience, has been elected First Deputy Director-General of the management company. He has also joined the board of the Tamchy Special Economic Zone. The management company is responsible for the development and operation of the territory’s infrastructure, as well as the maintenance of its facilities.
Ayaz Baetov, Special Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan for Special Assignments, has retained his seat on the board as First Deputy Chairman.
Thus, key functions within the management structure of the ‘Tamchy’ Special Economic Zone are distributed as follows: strategic decisions are concentrated within the board, financial regulation lies with a separate supervisory body, and infrastructure development is the responsibility of the management company.
No specific dates have yet been announced regarding the start of the licensing process for residents or the launch of financial operations.
