02/13/2025, 17:18On 13 February 2025, at the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, MP Dastan Bekeshev stated that the rights of shareholders in Kyrgyzstan are still not protected. Despite the measures taken and tightening of some conditions, the problem of cheated shareholders remains relevant and needs to be addressed.
He noted that the rights of citizens who enter into contracts directly with construction companies are still not protected.
Construction Minister Nurdan Oruntayev said that in order to protect the interests of shareholders, an authorised capital was introduced for construction companies. The size of the authorised capital depends on the area of the construction project, and the mandatory minimum amount is 100 million soms.
Nurdan Oruntayev expressed confidence that these measures will help to increase security for shareholders.
