EDB and RDB join forces for digital transformation of Eurasian trade

The Eurasian Development Bank and the joint company RWB (Wildberries & Russ) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at developing e-commerce and logistics infrastructure in the Eurasian region. The document was signed on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Under the agreement, the partners plan to jointly implement projects in the field of logistics digitalization, the creation of data processing centers (DPCs), and the scaling of innovative solutions in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan — countries where the EDB is actively working.

“We see great potential in the synergy between our technological solutions and the EDB's institutional support. Joint efforts will accelerate digital transformation and make e-commerce more accessible to millions of people in Eurasia,” commented RBW CEO Robert Mirzoyan.

The cooperation will be part of the EDB's major initiative to expand transport and logistics routes. In particular, the parties are considering opportunities for joint work within the framework of the Eurasian Commodity Network project, which includes the construction of modern warehouse hubs and logistics centers using flexible financing models.

“The development of logistics infrastructure is one of the EDB's priorities. The partnership with the RBW will enable the creation of modern supply chains and strengthen the region's economic connectivity. These projects will also contribute to the growth of small and medium-sized businesses,” said Yaroslav Mandron, Deputy Chairman of the EDB's Management Board.
