05/10/2026, 12:25Kyrgyzstan continues to experience high levels of price pressure in the economy. As of the end of August 2025, the GDP deflator reached 15.7%.
This indicator reflects changes in prices for all goods and services produced in the country and often provides a broader picture of inflationary processes than consumer inflation.
For comparison, annual inflation in the country stood at 9.5%, while the National Bank’s target range remains between 5% and 7%.
According to data from the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the GDP deflator has remained higher than the consumer price index in recent years. This may indicate rising business costs, increased production costs, and persistent price pressures in certain sectors of the economy.
