06/17/2026, 17:59Representatives of Bishkek City Council took part in the 10th World Cities Summit 2026, which took place from 14 to 16 June in Singapore. The delegation included First Deputy Mayor Kubanychbek Imanaliev and the director of the municipal enterprise ‘Centre for Digital Technologies’, Zhumamudun Zhumaliev.
The summit is regarded as one of the largest international forums where city leaders, experts and business representatives discuss modern approaches to urban development. This year’s event was held under the theme ‘Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Act Now!’.
During the forum, participants examined issues relating to the digital transformation of cities, the introduction of innovative technologies, the development of sustainable infrastructure, climate resilience and improving the quality of life for city residents.
The Bishkek delegation also took part in discussions on the development of smart cities, the digitalisation of local government, sustainable mobility and modern urban planning. In addition, representatives from the capital learnt about Singapore’s experience in urban management and held meetings with foreign colleagues and experts.
The City Council noted that participation in the summit would enable them to study leading global practices and expand international cooperation for the further development of the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
