Today, December 24, at a parliamentary session, MP Zhanarbek Akayev raised the issue of increasing the amount of benefits under the “uy-bulogo komok” program.

According to the deputy, during meetings with voters, citizens regularly raised the issue of improving the welfare of the population and the inadequacy of current social payments.

“Currently, a bag of flour costs 1,600 KGS, while the child allowance is 1,200 KGS. The amount of payments needs to be reviewed. People are tired of collecting documents, undergoing checks, and dealing with bureaucratic procedures, which often end in rejection because of an old car or the presence of livestock,” said Zhanarbek Akayev.

He proposed that the government, together with parliament, return to discussing the parameters of the program in February next year and review the approaches to granting benefits.

According to the deputy, citizens should directly feel economic growth and an improvement in their quality of life, and social support should be more accessible and targeted.
