MPs have backed the allocation of funds to Talas and the districts of Naryn Region

MPs have approved additional funding for Talas and the districts of Naryn Region. The total amount of funding earmarked for the development of Talas alone is set to exceed 1 billion KGS.

MPs considered draft resolution No. 330 on the allocation of funds to local administrations in Naryn Region.

According to the document:

• Ak-Talin District will receive 4 million KGS;
• At-Bashin District — 4,306,462 KGS;
• the Jumgal District will receive 3,999,527 KGS;
• the Naryn District will receive a further 4 million KGS.

The funds are intended for local administration expenditure and the implementation of local projects. Following discussion, the committee supported the draft.

The MPs then considered Cabinet Resolution No. 346 concerning the development of Talas and the city council’s budget.

The Deputy Minister of Finance reported that an additional 250 million KGS is proposed to be allocated for transport infrastructure and the city’s development.

During the discussion, it emerged that the total funding for Talas is to amount to 1.05 billion KGS. Of this sum, 800 million KGS had already been allocated, and the Ministry of Finance requested that the remaining 250 million KGS be allocated now.

Following the discussion, MPs approved the draft resolution.
