10/01/2026, 12:46In the Kochkor district, the carcass of a young wild ibex was found near a temporary residential trailer. The owner of the trailer admitted to gamekeepers that he had hunted the animal illegally.
The carcass was discovered during a raid in the Dunguromo section of the Karakol zhayloo by staff from the Naryn Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Natural Resources, together with gamekeepers from the Kyrgyz Society of Hunters and Anglers.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident. The animal’s carcass and the man’s firearms licence were handed over to the Kochkor District Department of Internal Affairs. An investigation is currently underway.
The law provides for a fine of up to 300,000 KGS for the illegal hunting and killing of a female mountain goat.
