A nursery worth over 182 million KGS has been returned to the municipality in Bishkek

In the Oktyabrsky District of Bishkek, a nursery building and a plot of land – which had been unlawfully privatised back in 1993 – have been returned to municipal ownership. The value of the returned social facility is estimated at 182.6 million KGS.

The violation was uncovered by the Oktyabrsky District Public Prosecutor’s Office during an inspection. It was established that the nursery building and the plot on Karasaev Street (Druzhby Street) had been transferred to private ownership in breach of the law.

Following the inspection, the public prosecutor’s office took measures which resulted in the property being returned to municipal ownership.

The land and the social facility are once again owned by the municipality.
