10/01/2026, 12:41In the Kemin District, it was discovered that wastewater from the sewerage system of the Chym-Korgon Psychiatric Hospital was being discharged into an aryk. The institution was fined 28,000 KGS, and water samples were sent for laboratory analysis.
According to the hospital, the cause was a breakdown in the equipment used to drain and pump out wastewater. The sewage pumps had not been working for about two weeks, and the compressor was also faulty.
The hospital management is currently attempting to restore the system: a tender has been launched to purchase a new compressor, and other options for resolving the problem are being considered.
A final assessment of the consequences of the discharge will be made once the results of the laboratory analysis are received.
