Revenue from hotels in Kyrgyzstan has risen by almost 42 per cent

Revenue from hotels and tourist accommodation in Kyrgyzstan rose significantly in January–March 2026. According to the National Statistical Committee, the value of services in this sector amounted to 1.58 billion KGS, compared with 1.12 billion KGS for the same period last year.

Consequently, hotel revenue increased by 468.9 million KGS over the year, or by approximately 42 per cent.

The growth in the hotel sector’s revenue is taking place against the backdrop of a general expansion of the tourism industry. At the end of the first quarter of 2026, gross value added in the tourism sector reached 10.96 billion som, up from 8.2 billion KGS a year earlier. Tourism’s share of GDP rose from 2.4 per cent to 2.6 per cent.

At the same time, the number of market participants is increasing. As at 1 April 2026, the number of registered businesses operating in the tourism sector stood at 153,300, compared with 141,500 a year earlier.
