The yield on the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan’s 91-day notes has approached 10%

Following the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan’s note auctions held on 26 May 2026, the weighted average yield on short-term securities stood at 8.75% for 7-day notes and 9.99% for 91-day notes.

National Bank notes are used as a tool for regulating liquidity in the banking system. Their yields reflect the situation in the money market and the expectations of financial sector participants.

The highest yields were recorded for 91-day notes, with the figure reaching almost 10%. This comes against the backdrop of the National Bank’s discount rate remaining at 12%. The regulator decided to maintain this rate on 26 May.
