The document tightens requirements regarding engagement with the public and introduces mandatory regular meetings with citizens.
The amendments have been made to Decree No. 302 of 15 July 2021 ‘On the Authorised Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Regions’.
Under the new procedure, the duties of the authorised representative now include holding annual mandatory meetings with the public.
A schedule for such events has also been approved: they must take place twice a year — in February–March and November–December.
The Presidential Administration notes that the new measure is aimed at strengthening feedback between state bodies and citizens, as well as increasing the transparency of the work of regional representatives of the authorities.
The decree comes into force on the day of its official publication.
