07/12/2026, 18:00Over the week from 6 to 11 July 2026, the official exchange rate of the dollar against the som remained virtually unchanged. Meanwhile, the Russian rouble and the Kazakh tenge appreciated against the national currency, whilst the euro depreciated slightly.
According to data from the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the dollar exchange rate on 11 July stood at 87.4488 som. On 6 July, it stood at 87.4477 som. Over the week, the US currency rose by just 0.0011 som.
The Russian rouble’s exchange rate over this period rose from 1.1252 som on 6 July to 1.1452 som on 11 July. The increase amounted to 0.0200 som.
The Kazakh tenge also rose against the som — from 0.1854 som to 0.1884 som. The change amounted to 0.0030 som.
The exchange rate of the Chinese yuan changed only slightly: from 12.8955 som on 6 July to 12.9012 som on 11 July. The increase amounted to 0.0057 som.
The euro, by contrast, fell slightly over the week. Its exchange rate fell from 100.1451 som to 99.9584 som, representing a decrease of 0.1867 som.
