05/18/2026, 13:47In January–April 2026, Kyrgyzstan’s economy grew by 12.4%, with GDP exceeding 602 billion KGS.
Against the backdrop of growth in industry and construction, the role of the manufacturing sector in the economy has increased. Whereas a year ago, goods-producing sectors accounted for 28.9% of GDP, their share has now reached 33.1%.
Construction showed the highest growth at 72.8%. Industry grew by 14.3%, including manufacturing, which grew by 16.2%.
The services sector, by contrast, saw its share of the economy fall from 55.2% to 50.3%, although it continued to grow in absolute terms. Trade increased by 12.3%, and hotels and restaurants by 13.4%.
The only major sector to show a decline was the supply of electricity, gas and steam. The decline amounted to 2.7%.
