A year earlier, the figure stood at 16.9 per cent. Despite the decline in the share, the sector’s output in monetary terms grew by 20.1 billion KGS to 263.5 billion KGS.
A more pronounced decline occurred in financial intermediation and insurance. This sector’s share of GDP fell from 7.6 per cent to 5.8 per cent. The volume of output amounted to 95.3 billion KGS, compared with 99.2 billion KGS for the corresponding period in 2025.
At the same time, the share of education rose from 4.5 per cent to 5.2 per cent. The volume of services in this sector increased from 58 billion KGS to 84.5 billion KGS. The share of professional, scientific and technical activities also rose – from 1.5 per cent to 1.8 per cent – whilst its volume reached 29 billion KGS.
Overall, the share of service-providing sectors fell by 3.2 percentage points to 48.7 per cent of GDP. At the same time, the value of services produced in monetary terms rose by 18.6 per cent to 799.1 billion KGS. This indicates that the decline in the sector’s share is partly due to faster growth in goods production.
