Kyrgyzstan has commissioned facilities with a capacity to freeze 17,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables

Between January and September 2026, facilities for freezing fruit and vegetables prepared for storage, with an annual capacity of 17,000 tonnes, were commissioned in Kyrgyzstan. This is evidenced by data on investment in fixed assets.

In agriculture, forestry and fisheries, the volume of utilised investment over the nine-month period increased by 6.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2025. Of this, 99.2 per cent of the funding came from the national and local budgets, foreign loans, grants, humanitarian aid, funds from the public and charitable donations from residents of Kyrgyzstan.

In addition to freezing facilities, poultry houses with a capacity of 1,000 birds have been commissioned. Furthermore, 89.5 kilometres of mudslide defences and 0.2 kilometres of bank reinforcement structures have been constructed.

Thus, investment projects in the agricultural sector have covered not only the production of agricultural produce but also its storage and the protection of land against natural hazards.
