The EAEU and the UAE finalized the fourth round of negotiations on economic partnership

From September 18 to 20, Moscow hosted the fourth round of negotiations on concluding an economic partnership agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its member states, on the one hand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on the other.

According to Andrei Slepnev, Minister for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the round was successful and significant results were achieved in harmonizing the draft agreement.

The parties agreed to settle the remaining issues in line with the approved schedule to shortly finalize negotiations.

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Tani bin Ahmed Al Zayoudi participated in the round closing from the Emirati side.

Let us recall that the decision to start negotiations with the UAE was taken by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in December 2022.
