07/11/2025, 14:42The headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) hosted a roundtable discussion on the future of unmanned aviation in the EAEU countries. Discussions on the safety, regulation and use of drones for civilian purposes were held on July 10-11.
Against the backdrop of the growing digitalization of the economy and the demand for fast and inexpensive logistics solutions, participants stressed that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are becoming an important tool in transport, monitoring and delivery.
Arzybek Kozhoshev noted that the development of unmanned technologies can significantly improve safety, reduce costs and open new directions for civil aviation.
Representatives of international organizations - ICAO, IAC and IATA - shared their experience in regulating and integrating drones into the airspace. The need to harmonize flight safety regulations was discussed, as well as the use of digital technologies and AI to control UAVs.
The meeting resulted in the adoption of a resolution with recommendations for the EAEU countries to create a unified approach to the regulation of unmanned systems and the introduction of innovations in the industry.
