EAEU establishes new rules for e-commerce

First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev participated in a video conference meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council. The Council approved a draft agreement on e-commerce in the EAEU, which introduces uniform transparent rules for the market and protects the rights of participants.

For individuals, a duty-free allowance of up to €200 has been established, with a rate of 5% of the value, but not less than €1 per kilogram, applying to more expensive goods. Labelling of food products, cosmetics and household goods has also been agreed, with each country determining its own timing and procedure for implementation.

The meeting approved changes to anti-dumping measures on graphite electrodes from China and supported a cooperation project for the production of system units in Russia, in which the Kyrgyz company Kyrgyzelektronika is participating.

Kyrgyzstan also proposed a concession on the import of goods for international events in 2026 — the decision will be considered on 11 December this year at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
