    EEU Customs Union Accelerates Railway Machinery Cooperation Using Financial Support Mechanism

    Working meetings between representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission and Belarusian machine-building enterprises were held at the Kolomna plant site in the Moscow region. The parties discussed expanding industrial cooperation in the field of transport engineering, including the development of production of engines with a capacity of 1 MW to 7.35 MW. The project involves the use of a financial support mechanism for cooperation initiatives within the EAEU.

    The parties have already begun exchanging commercial proposals and preparing contracts for the supply of equipment. The companies Belorgstankprom, Vistan, Rukhservomotor, Krasny Borets, Stanko-Gomel and others. According to EEC representatives, such steps will make it possible to create sustainable production chains and reduce dependence on external suppliers.

    Vitaly Vovk, Deputy Director of the EEC's Industrial Policy Department, noted that the Union's key task is to strengthen technological sovereignty. This is important not only for transport engineering, but also for related industries. For Kyrgyzstan, participation in such cooperation projects opens up opportunities to integrate into regional production chains and attract investment in the machine-building sector.
