    Kumtor has generated over $1 billion in taxes in three years under state management

    This year marks three years since Kumtor Gold Company became the property of the Kyrgyz Republic. During this period, the company has sold over 43 tonnes of gold. Net profit amounted to $1.072 billion, with more than $1.06 billion in taxes and deductions going to the budget. In addition, the company paid out over $441 million in dividends.

    At the end of the first half of 2025, the company's net profit reached 13.3 billion soms. The mine is implementing projects for underground mining, tailings storage facility processing and equipment modernisation. A tyre recycling plant for mining equipment has started operating in Tokmok, and infrastructure is also being developed at the base in Balykchy.

    The company is working on the Togo-Lug gold deposit, continuing geological exploration at the Jangart site and introducing new technological solutions. In addition, students and graduates undergo practical training at the enterprise every year, which contributes to the training of specialists for the mining industry.
