06/08/2025, 10:44Key issues surrounding the enhancement of pharmaceutical regulation, improving registration efficiency, and ensuring patient access to high-quality medications were presented by Chynara Mambetalieva, Deputy Director of the Department for Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission. She spoke at the scientific-practical conference "Regulatory Practice and Registration of Medicines – RegLek 2025," held in Moscow.
During the plenary session, Chynara Myrzhakmatovna delivered a report titled "Main Directions in the Development of the Unified Market for Medicines within the Eurasian Economic Union."
She outlined strategic priorities in forming a stable, transparent, and effective unified pharmaceutical market within the EAEU. Specifically, the EEC representative discussed deepening the harmonization of drug registration requirements based on unified approaches, expanding mutual recognition mechanisms for registration procedures and expert assessments, developing the infrastructure for interaction among the authorized bodies of member states, and ensuring transparency and traceability of pharmaceutical circulation throughout all stages of the lifecycle.
Participants in the discussion underscored the relevance of the proposed approaches for further strengthening integration processes within the EAEU. It was noted that the Commission, in collaboration with the authorized bodies of Union countries and the business community, continues systematic work on developing the unified pharmaceutical market, establishing a favorable regulatory environment, and enhancing the availability of modern, safe, and effective drugs for the citizens of member states. The scientific-practical conference "Regulatory Practice and Registration of Medicines – RegLek," organized by the FSBI "NCESMP" of the Russian Ministry of Health, is one of the key annual events in this field. Participants include EAEU pharmaceutical market stakeholders, addressing current issues in drug circulation and law enforcement practice.
