Speaking at the extended meeting, Adylbek Kasymaliyev recalled the historic agreements signed in March on the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as the trilateral agreement on the junction point of the borders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. According to him, this not only strengthens trust between the countries, but also creates a new platform for regional cooperation.
The head of the Cabinet noted that in 2024, Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade with the CIS countries grew by 10%, accounting for 37.4% of the country's total foreign trade turnover. He emphasized Kyrgyzstan's readiness to expand joint projects in energy, logistics, construction, agriculture, digital, and green economies.
Kasymaliyev placed particular emphasis on the development of tourism as an important area of cooperation. He reported on the modernization of airports and the implementation of investment projects in the field of ski tourism, proposing the creation of cross-border routes within the Commonwealth.
“In Kyrgyzstan, the tourism sector is developing quite steadily and is becoming an important factor in economic growth. Airports are being modernized throughout the country, and transport and hotel infrastructure is improving. The country has embarked on major projects to develop modern ski clusters, including with the participation of foreign investors. I consider it important to strengthen and expand regional cooperation through joint projects and programs to create cross-border tourist routes,” said Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
