Fines, inspections, reports. Bishkek cracks down on air polluters

Raids aimed at controlling air quality and preventing smog continue in the capital. The municipal inspection department of the Bishkek mayor's office, together with district administrations and the MTU, is conducting inspections of bathhouses, enterprises, and other facilities whose activities may contribute to air pollution.

In the Pervomaisky district today, December 5, 12 bathhouses were inspected, resulting in two reports being drawn up and fines of 15,000 KGS being issued to the owners.

In the Leninsky district, 64 facilities were inspected, including large-scale production facilities such as the Frunze plant, AKUN LLC, bathhouses, and other institutions. Inspectors conducted explanatory work on preventing the burning of prohibited materials and the use of fine-grained coal (0-13 mm).

As a result of the raids on IFA LLC, a report was drawn up for 13,000 KGS.

In the Sverdlovsk district, 10 bathhouses were inspected — no violations related to waste incineration were found. However, two reports were issued for 6,000 KGS for violations of sanitary standards.

The owners were also issued 16 notices, after which sanitary cleaning and garbage removal were carried out.

A total of 86 facilities were inspected in the capital. Five reports were drawn up for 34,000 KGS.
