Exports of pulses from Kyrgyzstan fell by almost a quarter

In January–February 2026, Kyrgyzstan saw a 23.4% year-on-year decline in exports of dried pulses, down to 9.7 thousand tonnes. However, significant growth in shipments was recorded in certain markets.

Exports of dried pulses from Kyrgyzstan in the first two months of 2026 amounted to 9.7 thousand tonnes, compared with 12.6 thousand tonnes a year earlier. This represents a fall of 23.4%.

In monetary terms, exports fell to $10.6 million from $13.9 million — a decrease of approximately 24%.

Key changes by country:

  • Russia — an increase of 40.9%;
  • Turkey – more than doubled (up 112%);
  • Kazakhstan – up by around 65%;
  • Iran – a sharp rise of 91.5%, the largest buyer;
  • Uzbekistan – down by 48.3%;
  • Serbia – a fall of 35%;
  • Azerbaijan – a decrease of approximately 50%;
  • Latvia – supplies ceased (there were some last year, but none this year);
  • Iraq – supplies resumed (there were none previously, but they appeared this year).
