Exports of processed meat products from Kyrgyzstan have increased 2.5-fold

Between January and May 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported 75.5 tonnes of processed and tinned meat products worth $684,100. Compared with the same period last year, the volume of exports increased 2.5-fold.

According to statistics from the National Statistics Committee, in the first five months of 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported 75.5 tonnes of processed and tinned meat products worth $684,100.

Compared with the same period in 2025, the volume of exports rose to 251.7 per cent of last year’s level. In value terms, exports increased even more significantly — to 283.3 per cent in soms and 282.2 per cent in dollars.

Iran became the largest buyer of Kyrgyz products, with 22 tonnes of tinned meat exported there, worth $171,000. Other key export markets included China – 8.6 tonnes worth $91,700, Pakistan – 7.2 tonnes worth $89,200, Vietnam – 9.6 tonnes worth $77,000 and the United Arab Emirates – 3.1 tonnes worth $54,500.

Exports of processed meat products are showing steady growth in both volume and export revenue, whilst the geographical reach of exports continues to expand.

In January–May 2025, Kyrgyzstan exported 30 tonnes of processed and tinned meat products worth $242,400. Over the year, the volume of exports rose by 151.7 per cent, whilst the value of exports increased by 183.3 per cent in som terms and 182.2 per cent in US dollar terms.
