Exports of kefir and yoghurt from Kyrgyzstan rose by 2,700 tonnes

In the first three months of 2026, Kyrgyzstan increased its exports of buttermilk, yoghurt and kefir. Kazakhstan remains the main buyer, with over 2,600 tonnes of products shipped there.

From January to March, Kyrgyzstan exported 2,759.4 tonnes of dairy products worth $2.5 million. A year earlier, the figures stood at 2,538.7 tonnes worth $2.28 million.

The bulk of the exports continued to go to Kazakhstan — 2,617.2 tonnes worth $2.36 million. However, the price of these deliveries was among the lowest — around $900 per tonne.

Uzbekistan purchased Kyrgyz dairy products at the lowest price – approximately $780 per tonne. South Korea is at almost the same level – around $818 per tonne.

Exports to the US were at a higher price — around $1,700 per tonne. The volume of supplies amounted to 31.9 tonnes.

The highest price was recorded in the UAE — around $11,400 per tonne. However, only 1.3 tonnes of products were shipped there.
