Sugar exports from Kyrgyzstan have fallen

Between January and May 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported sugar worth almost 321.4 million KGS. This is according to data from the Statistical Committee.

Over the five-month period, almost 5,000 tonnes of sugar were exported from the country.
Kyrgyz sugar was exported to Uzbekistan – over 3,900 tonnes, Tajikistan – nearly 1,100 tonnes, and Kazakhstan – 3.3 tonnes.

Compared with January–May 2025, the volume of exports fell by 2,140 tonnes. During the same period last year, Kyrgyzstan exported more than 7,100 tonnes of sugar.
