‘Mbank’ increased its capital by 22.5 million KGS through a share placement

On 20 August, ‘Mbank’ placed 1.125 million of its own shares on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange at a price of 20 KGS per share. The total value of the placement amounted to 22.5 million KGS. The transaction took place on the primary market.

The placement of Mbank’s shares accounted for 95.5 per cent of the total trading volume on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange for the day. The total trading volume amounted to 23.57 million KGS, of which 22.5 million KGS were attributable to the bank’s shares.

Thus, Mbank raised 22.5 million KGS in capital via the primary market. By way of comparison, the entire secondary market turnover for the day amounted to 1.07 million KGS.

In addition to Mbank shares, shares in Kyrgyzneftegaz and Alamudun ORMZ, as well as bonds issued by ‘Alfa Oil’, were traded on the secondary market. Trading volume on the government securities market amounted to a further 2.43 million KGS.
