Switzerland became the main and, in fact, the only destination for these shipments.
By comparison, in January 2025 exports were significantly higher — 372,645.2 grams worth 2,719,145.9 KGS, or $31,254,300. At that time, the United Kingdom was the key market, with a small portion going to Turkey.
Thus, over the year, gold exports fell by almost four times in physical terms and by almost half in dollar terms.
