03/26/2026, 17:23Deputy Prime Minister Erlist Akunbekov met with Rapil Zhoshybaev, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues relating to bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached at meetings between Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the field of trade and economic relations. The importance of joint work on projects in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure, logistics and the water and energy sector was also emphasised.
Erlist Akunbekov noted that the strategic partnership and allied relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan would form the basis for maintaining a trusting dialogue and effective cooperation on all issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the schedule of upcoming high-level and senior-level events was discussed, as well as issues relating to the expansion of the legal and treaty framework between the two countries.
