07/09/2025, 08:40The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), at the initiative of the Russian Federation, has postponed the entry into force of the EAEU technical regulation "On energy efficiency requirements for energy-using devices" until 1 September 2028.
The decision applies to all countries of the union, including Kyrgyzstan, and is intended to allow time to update requirements, prepare the necessary regulatory framework and complete work on secondary regulation, in particular the list of standards and model labels for energy-using products.
In addition, the entry into force of provisions on the forms and rules for the design of energy labels has been postponed until 1 March 2028. The deadlines for the introduction of a number of requirements provided for in the annexes to the technical regulation have been postponed for another three years.
