    The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council summed up the results of its meeting in Cholpon-Ata

    On 14–15 August 2025, a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in Cholpon-Ata. During the meeting, the EAEU member states approved a number of key documents aimed at developing integration processes and improving the efficiency of the Union's work.

    Among the decisions adopted were:

    • repeal of EEC Board Decision No. 6 of 14 January 2025 on the rules for compiling a collection of preliminary decisions of customs authorities;
    • approval of the Programme for the Development of Exchange Trading on the Common Commodity Exchange Market within the EAEU;
    • the EEC's annual report on the state of competition in cross-border markets for 2024 and measures to prevent violations;
    • amendments to the roadmap for the implementation of the agreed transport policy for 2024–2026;
    • distribution of import customs duties between the budgets of member states for 2024;
    • approval of the concepts for the development of a common market for medicines and medical devices;
    • submission of candidates for new members of the EEC Council and Board;
    • determination of the time and place of the next meeting of the intergovernmental council.

    The documents are aimed at strengthening integration processes, harmonising the economic and transport policies of the EAEU countries, and developing a common market for goods and medical products.
