The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan will launch a mobile app for its members

The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan plans to launch a mobile app for union members by the end of the year. With its help, users will be able to receive advice on labor issues, as well as track the movement of their funds — receipts and their distribution.

The app is also expected to allow users to apply online for sanatorium and resort vouchers and other health services, which should simplify workers' access to social support.

Muradil Jumadilde uulu, chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, noted that there are currently more than 3 million workers in the country, but only about 10% of them are union members.

“Our main task for this year is to increase workers' trust in trade unions and increase membership to at least 20%,” he stressed.

The Federation expects that the digitization of services and increased transparency of financial information will be one of the key tools for attracting new members and strengthening the role of trade unions in protecting labor rights.
