Last year, he earned up to 17 million soms in income and exported more than 100 tonnes of strawberries, and this year the figures have doubled – income amounted to 34 million soms, with over 200 tonnes of produce exported to Russia and Kazakhstan.
The main reason for these achievements was participation in the ‘3+2’ programme, under which agricultural specialists analysed the soil and gave recommendations on proper plant nutrition. As a result, strawberry yields increased significantly.
In addition, other farmers also mastered soil analysis and proper fertilisation methods, which allowed them to achieve good results on their plots.
This successful experience is a striking example of increasing the efficiency of agricultural production and building the region's export potential.
