Farmers no longer need to queue – an online loan system has been launched in Kyrgyzstan

An electronic queue system for obtaining preferential loans in the agricultural sector has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. Farmers can now submit applications and track their progress online.

The Ministry of Agriculture, together with ABank JSC and Eldik Bank JSC, has signed an agreement to launch the digital system.

A ‘Preferential Loans for Farmers’ module has been added to the iDyikan platform, allowing farmers to register, submit applications, join the queue and track their status in real time.

The authorities aim to make the allocation of preferential loans more transparent and convenient by reducing bureaucracy and the need for in-person visits to banks.

Previously, farmers applied for such loans offline — through banks and government departments — which often involved queues and delays. The new system is set to become part of a single digital portal for farmers, and in the future will be supplemented by a mobile app.
