The Kyrgyzstan Green Energy Fund has announced a tender for the construction of solar and small hydropower plants

The state institution ‘Green Energy Fund under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan’ has announced a tender for the provision of land plots for the construction of renewable energy facilities.

The competition offers 15 lots: three for large solar power plants with a total capacity of up to 1.3 gigawatts and twelve for small hydroelectric power plants ranging from 2 to 35 megawatts.

The facilities are located in the Issyk-Kul, Batken, Jalal-Abad, Osh and Talas regions. Preliminary connection points provide for connection to existing power lines and the construction of dedicated substations, which will allow the new capacity to be integrated into the country's power system.

The competition will take place on 3 April 2026 at 14:00 in the Fund's building at 56 Erkindik Boulevard, Bishkek. Documents for participation will be accepted until 18:00 on 2 April. Detailed information about the lots, competition conditions and required documents is available on the Fund's official social media pages and by calling 66-00-63 or 66-00-64.
