10/15/2025, 07:52The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange has attracted the attention of French diplomats. On 14 October, Acting President of KSE Aida Chodulova held a meeting with a delegation from the French Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and the Economic Service of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan, led by Nicolas Fay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting was also attended by Political Attaché Alexandre Vallette and Economic Advisor, Head of the Economic Service for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Ludovic Lea.
The main topic of the meeting was the development of the Kyrgyz financial market and opportunities for international cooperation. Chodulova presented the French side with the exchange's key initiatives — digitisation of trading, increased transparency and involvement of new investors — and also spoke about projects aimed at transforming the KSE into a centre of attraction for private capital.
The French delegation, in turn, highly appreciated the potential of the Kyrgyz stock market and expressed its readiness to consider forms of cooperation, ranging from expert exchanges and joint educational initiatives to direct investment projects.
The talks ended with an agreement to continue the dialogue and develop specific areas of cooperation. The visit by French representatives could be a step towards expanding international presence on the Kyrgyz stock market.
