05/01/2026, 10:05The Global Symposium on Credit Guarantees and the 38th Annual Conference of the Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation were held in Mumbai on April 23–24. Following the event, the Credit Guarantee Fund was officially admitted to the confederation.
The event was organized by The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises to mark the organization’s 25th anniversary.
Kyrgyzstan was represented at the forum by Reina Kurmankozhoeva, Deputy Chair of the Board of JSC “Guarantee Fund,” and Begayim Abdrakhmanova, Senior Specialist.
The symposium brought together delegates from more than 19 countries and 26 specialized organizations. The main topic of discussion was expanding access to financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises amid global economic challenges. Participants emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of best practices for the development of credit guarantee systems.
The decision to admit the Guarantee Fund into the Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation was adopted unanimously at a meeting of the chief delegates.
During the meeting, the Indian side proposed creating a unified digital platform for interaction among the confederation’s members. The Kyrgyz delegation, in turn, proposed filling it with analytical and statistical materials.
The symposium program included panel discussions and expert sessions on risk management, sustainable development, green finance, the ESG agenda, and support for women’s entrepreneurship.
The next, 39th annual conference of the Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation will be held in Malaysia in 2027. Two working groups are planned to be established to prepare for it.
It should be noted that earlier, in September 2024, the Guarantee Fund participated for the first time in the 36th conference of the Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation, where it was granted observer status.
It should be added that the Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation is an international association of organizations providing credit guarantees and business support instruments, primarily for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The Confederation brings together members from more than 20 countries.
