The main tasks for achieving the goals of industrial development in the Eurasian Economic Union today are the formation of a common space of cooperation and collaboration, as well as providing the common market of the EAEU with key goods and resources. This was stated by Georgy Arzumanyan, Deputy Director of the EEC Industrial Policy Department, during his speech at the international exhibition Non-food Asia EXPO in Almaty.

According to him, the implementation of these tasks will contribute to the development of support mechanisms for cooperation projects, uniting the efforts of member states to localize joint production in priority areas, as well as the development of exports of goods to the markets of third countries.

“To achieve the set goals, the use of the Union's potential becomes as important as possible,” noted Georgy Arzumanyan. - Here, the work of financial institutions as a basic element of support for joint productions and the Commission's activities in terms of developing new conditions and mechanisms to promote cooperation in the EAEU are of great importance”.

In particular, he spoke about the new mechanism of financing industrial cooperation, developed by the commission together with the member states and launched in June this year.

“This is the first supranational instrument of financial support for the real sector in the union,” the EEC representative emphasized. - The mechanism offers entrepreneurs unprecedented conditions - compensation in the amount of 100% of the key rate of the central bank of the member state. Another important advantage for business is the possibility for small and medium-sized enterprises to get access to new technologies”.

The new financing instrument aroused great interest among the exhibitors. Detailed discussion of its implementation continued during the bilateral meetings between Georgiy Arzumanyan and representatives of Kazakhstani business. At the same time, they discussed measures to support exports of jointly produced products, barriers in terms of access to government procurement, and customs issues.
