08/02/2025, 16:08Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu paid an official visit to Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev.
The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discussed key aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the political, trade and economic, transit and transport, water and energy, cultural and humanitarian, and migration spheres, and exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries within international and regional organizations.
The parties expressed mutual satisfaction with the level of trust-based political dialogue achieved at the highest and high levels, and confirmed their determination to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation.
The meeting focused on the development of trade and economic ties, the implementation of joint investment projects, the modernization of checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, and ensuring the free movement of goods and people. Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev noted the importance of further deepening mutually beneficial economic ties, increasing bilateral trade, and expanding investment cooperation.
Zheenbek Kulubaev and Murat Nurtleu also reviewed the progress of the agreements reached by the heads of state and government of the two countries, as well as issues related to the organization of bilateral meetings and visits until the end of this year. In this context, special attention was paid to the preparation of the official visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the talks, the foreign ministers of the two countries initialed the documents of the seventh meeting of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will be held in the near future under the chairmanship of the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
