Tax and customs revenues in Kyrgyzstan rose to 465 billion KGS

In 2025, tax and customs revenues in Kyrgyzstan rose to 465 billion KGS. This was announced by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, at the 18th meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Combating the Financing of Criminal Activities and the Legalisation of Criminal Proceeds.

Compared with 2021, tax revenues almost tripled – from 106 billion to 308 billion KGS. Customs revenues increased 3.3-fold – from 47 billion to 157 billion KGS.

Kasymaliev attributed the growth in revenues to the digitalisation of public administration, tax and customs administration, as well as measures to reduce the shadow economy and increase transparency.

In 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s real GDP growth stood at 11.1 per cent, and the size of the economy reached around 2 trillion KGS.

The meeting also discussed Kyrgyzstan’s preparations for the third round of mutual evaluation of its national system for combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism by the Eurasian Group (EAG).

Participants examined risk management, transparency of information on beneficial owners, the winding-up of dormant legal entities, and the preparation of the national strategy to combat money laundering for 2026–2030.
