Kyrgyzstan GNS Launches Pilot of Fiscal Software with Data Transmission for Food Sector

The State Tax Service has launched a pilot project to introduce fiscal software with a data transfer function.

On 1 September, the system began operating in the catering sector. The new solution allows businesses to integrate their accounting programmes with the State Tax Service system. Now, every transaction is automatically recorded and transmitted to the tax service, generating a fiscal receipt directly from the accounting programme without a cash register or intermediate operations.

Fiscal software eliminates the need for businesses to purchase cash register equipment and reduces administrative costs. For the state, this is a step towards increasing the transparency of settlements and reducing the shadow economy.

The pilot project is planned to be expanded to other areas:

  • from 1 October 2025 — hotels;
  • from 1 February 2026 — petrol stations.

The project will run until 31 July 2026 and will cover Bishkek, Jalal-Abad and Osh.

The State Tax Service notes that entrepreneurs from other regions can join the project on a voluntary basis, having agreed on the terms of connection.
