09/22/2026, 12:44During a surprise tax inspection at the ‘Ak-Tilik’ border checkpoint, officers from the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic inspected a Scania lorry carrying a consolidated consignment.
The inspection revealed 263 boxes of confectionery products under the Skittles, M&M’s, Snickers, Mars and Twix brands, including goods past their use-by date. The estimated value of the goods is over 2.5 million KGS.
The relevant reports have been drawn up in relation to this incident, and the case files have been forwarded to the law enforcement authorities for legal assessment.
The State Tax Service continues its efforts to prevent the circulation of products with expired use-by dates, which pose a potential threat to consumer health.
