10/02/2026, 10:06Between January and August, mining companies paid 25.54 billion KGS to the Kyrgyz budget in income tax. These figures have been released by the Ministry of Finance.
This is 8.7 billion KGS, or 51.7 per cent, more than in the same period last year. At that time, revenue from this source amounted to 16.83 billion KGS.
The entire sum was credited to the national budget.
The growth in payments from mining companies outpaced the overall trend in tax revenue. Total tax revenue for the eight-month period increased by 40.5 per cent, to 387.1 billion KGS. As a result, the share of payments from mining companies in tax revenue rose from 6.1 per cent to 6.6 per cent.
