11/06/2026, 09:01Since the beginning of the year, two state-owned banks in Kyrgyzstan have terminated business relations with 284 companies whose activities are associated with heightened sanctions risks. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce following a meeting of the interagency working group on November 5.
As of that date, “ABank” had terminated relations with 115 companies. Another 37 organizations are currently under review.
The meeting was chaired by Bakyt Sydykov, the President’s Special Representative for Sanctions Policy and Sanctions Risk Mitigation. Participants reviewed the results of audits of legal entities, as well as the creation and use of a list of companies with heightened sanctions risks.
Cooperation with the European Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom was discussed separately. Sydykov emphasized the need for government agencies, financial regulators, and banks to work together to identify and mitigate such risks in a timely manner.
The names of the companies with which the banks have terminated their relationships, as well as the specific grounds for these decisions, are not disclosed in the statement.
