A seminar on cyber threat prevention and improving digital literacy among civil servants was held at the Central Office of the State Tax Service.

The event was held with the assistance of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and aimed to strengthen information security and develop sustainable response skills to potential cyber incidents among service employees.

The purpose of the seminar was to raise staff awareness of modern cyber threats, social engineering techniques, phishing attacks and other digital risks faced by government agencies.

Particular attention was paid to the basics of secure handling of e-mail, passwords, as well as corporate data and devices.

During the event, participants were presented with real-life cases of cyber incidents that occurred in Kyrgyzstan and abroad. The analysis of these situations contributed to a better understanding of the nature of digital threats and allowed for the development of practical recommendations for responding to incidents.

The seminar concluded with a question and answer session, during which employees received clarification from IT security specialists and discussed possible measures to strengthen data protection in their daily work.
