Speaking to representatives of the business community, he emphasised that honest and legitimate business is seen as a partner of the authorities and a pillar of the region's socio-economic development.
At the same time, according to him, the authorities will not allow pressure to be exerted on entrepreneurs for the sake of formal indicators, the use of control and verification mechanisms as a tool of influence, or the transformation of business into a ‘hostage of the system.’
At the same time, the state does not intend to turn a blind eye to activities that harm people, the environment and the territory. This refers to the destruction of ecosystems, the barbaric treatment of land and subsoil resources, and the extraction of profits without subsequent responsibility for the environmental and social consequences.
Particular emphasis was placed on environmental issues. Osmonov noted that open dialogue with business on this topic is conducted not in the spirit of pressure, but within the framework of fair and uniform rules. The lack of quarry reclamation, pollution of water bodies, and destruction of agricultural land and pastures, he said, primarily affect the region's residents and undermine trust in the entire business community of the Chui region.
The state's task is to protect conscientious entrepreneurs from unscrupulous market participants and to ensure the creation of civilised conditions for doing business.
The statement was made on the eve of a meeting dedicated to the strategic development of the Chui region. The event is expected to bring together representatives of the authorities, business and experts to discuss key steps for the economic and social growth of the region.
