The state plans to borrow 10.6 billion KGS in November

The Ministry of Finance has published a preliminary schedule for the placement of government treasury bonds in November. This information was posted on the National Bank's website.

The total volume of planned placements will amount to 10.6 billion KGS, with securities issued with different maturities ranging from 3 to 10 years and coupon rates from 5% to 12.86% per annum.

The Ministry of Finance intends to borrow the most money for seven years. It plans to raise 3.2 billion KGS through government bonds with this maturity, and another 2.8 billion KGS for five years. At the same time, the highest coupon rate of 12.86% is offered on three-year securities.

It should be added that government treasury bonds remain one of the key instruments of domestic borrowing today. As of 30 October, the Ministry of Finance's obligations on bonds placed on the National Bank's platform were estimated at 291.6 billion KGS. In addition, since May 2023, the ministry has been raising money through the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange, where it places two-year bonds and 12-month promissory notes.
